Nepalese Australian Allied Health Professionals Association Inc.
Nepalese Australian Allied Health Professionals Association Inc. (NAAHPA) is a not-for-profit, non-political, and independent organisation that represents Nepalese allied health professionals currently registered, practising, studying, or intending to practise an allied health profession in Australia. Our main aim is “Together we make it better” for individuals, families, and communities both within Australia and back in Nepal.

Our Objectives
1) Promote the importance of the multidisciplinary approach among allied health professionals to enhance health promotion, public awareness, and education within the community.
2) Promote allied health professions within the wider Nepalese community residing across all parts of Australia.
3) Connect and network with Nepalese allied health professionals across Australia and beyond.
4) Promote and provide ongoing professional education through webinars, conferences, interest groups, seminars, practical workshops, newsletters, and other digital and social media platforms.
5) Collaborate, cooperate, maintain strong links, and build social harmony and friendships with other community organisations in Australia and Nepal.
6) Provide guidance, pathways, and mentorship to prospective students and those seeking registration in Australia, as well as those aspiring to enter allied health professions.
7) Collaboration with various health associations in both Australia and Nepal.
8) Enable and provide a platform for allied health professionals to share their knowledge, skills, and experiences with prospective AHPs and the wider community.
9) Carry out activities as proposed and determined by the NEC as needed.
Membership
Our membership is open to all the people of Nepalese origin, who are engaged in Allied Health field and residing temporarily or permanently in Australia regardless of their gender, race, religion, ethnicity, belief, academic background, skills, knowledge and experiences.
General Membership
Any individual aged 18 years or older, who has completed an allied health professional course or is currently a student, shall be eligible for general membership. This membership category shall have no limit on the number of members.
Professional Membership
Any individual aged 18 years or older, working as an allied health professional in Australia, shall be eligible for professional membership. This membership category shall have no limit on the number of members.
Associate Membership
Individuals aged 18 or older, who do not qualify for other membership categories, are eligible for associate membership. This membership class is limited, and members cannot vote or contest for the NEC.
Honorary Membership
Any individual aged 18 or older, who has made significant contributions to allied health or any health-related field, may be awarded honorary membership as decided by the NEC. This membership class is limited.
Life Membership
An individual who has been a continuous general and professional member for 5 years and has paid the equivalent of 10 years’ worth of general membership fees at the time of enrolling for life membership.
